TAMUQ to host NSF Workshop on Electrical Energy Education

The workshop will be held during the Dec. 13-16, 2009 period at Texas A&M University – Qatar.

The objective of this workshop is to assess today’s needs to offer effective classroom and laboratory instructions in the electric energy field.  This workshop will discuss international perspectives on energy education. It will focus on detailed course offerings at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and will explore the current industry needs for power conversion and power system engineers.  This workshop will provide the opportunity to make use of the collective experiences of many experts in the field regarding the use of technology in teaching. It will also address continuing education efforts as well as recent research trends.
